We’re hiring a regional sales manager

Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for a regional sales manager for its manufacturing facility in Columbus, IN to 

 be responsible for the strategy development and sales growth of Stationary Customer Accounts, within Hug-Engineering Americas.  This person will operate with autonomy, demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, and require a high energy to invest in the growth of the account for both short and long-term objectives.  He/She will be the face to the customer for Hug-Engineering and drive for Total Customer Satisfaction.

 

You’ll work on challenges that matter

This job will require you to

 

Craft the entrance and growth strategy with both new and existing HHP customers in the Stationary business :

  • Drives, executes and delivers the strategic plan growth initiatives, with specific focus on data centers, peakers and greenhouses
  • Coordinates with the Product Line team to ensure congruent roadmap of offerings with the customer technologies, needs and price targets at the right time
  • Delivers fit to market strategy for stationary applications in the North American region to ensure growth in the areas of data centers, peakers and greenhouses

Develop in-depth intimacy with key Customer contacts (Purchasing, Engineering, Programs) :

  • Identify and develop the relationship with his/her direct counterparts at the customer 
  • Participates regularly to customer meetings (innovation and technology reviews, quality reviews, commercial global meetings) 
  • Interfaces with the customer at 1st & 2nd management levels
  • Monitors market and competitor trends, and recommend strategies to win

Prepare and check/validate the commercial offers to answer on due time to the Customer requests :

  • Applies technical knoweldge of emission systems and regulatory requirements to help solve customer integration challenges jointly with Hug Engineering lead
  • Utilizes and deploys the costing tools w/ engineering support to develop offers
  • Develops the market pricing, USP and the negotiation path / tactics to convince the customer of Hug value proposition
  • Ensures proper documentation of all prices and written communication to customer
  • Checks coherence of all offers and validates offers regarding technical changes and mandated components
  • Understands and applies the guidelines proposed by the hierarchy regarding contractual management
  • Drives contractual claims negotiation at the appropriate level with the customer

 

Projects:

  • Responsible for on-time / on-profit customer ECRs (“Engineering Changes Requests”) negotiation 
  • Manages the Variable Cost Margin and Operating Margin with the project manager
  • Deep understanding and management of local economics (inflation, exchange rate)
  • Understanding and rigourous implementation of the Sales Administration guidelines & processes (purchase orders, invoices, terms of payment, overdues…)

 

Acquisitions:

  • Leader of the Acquisition Process for Stationary Projects in Data Centers, Peakers, Power Generation Green Houses, and Public Buildings
  • Understanding of the Business Plan & RFQA requirements of Hug-Engineering
  • Preparation and update / improvement of the commercial offers through the negotiation loops
  • Develop & lead the execution of the acquisition and relationship plan
  • Responsible to deliver annual acquisition targets established in the budget for his/her perimeter

 

The ideal candidate

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:

 

Minimum Education Level: Business Master Degree or Engineering Degree with a willingness to develop a career path in the HHP business

 

Experience:

 

  • Must have a minimum 5 years of professional experience (+10 preferred) with successful track record of winning emission business in High Horsepower applications
  • Demonstrate relationships with key customer contacts at decision making levels in the areas of: Data Centers, Peakers, Public Buildings, Greenhouses and Power Generation sites
  • Track record of developing business through several channels including end-customers, suppliers, partners and EPC’s is a must
  • Industry knowledge of key legislation and regulatory governance, and the implications on providing solutions to our customers
