We’re hiring a Systems Engineer.

Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for a Systems Engineer for its manufacturing facility in Columbus, IN to Support IT issues and users with shop floor/Manufacturing Execution Systems (Level 1 Troubleshooting).

You’ll work on challenges that matter.

This job will require you to:

  • Take part in the development and the follow-up of relative budgets.
  • Ensure the respect of Group standards, especially concerning hardware, software, etc.
  • Assure a coherence of hardware and software materials and licenses.
  • Ensure the organization of subcontracting services.
  • Ensure communication between the different interlocutors of the data-processing tool.
  • Evaluate, anticipate and rate present and future challenges and collaborate with IT regional manager to establish priorities.
  • Support IT issues and users with shop floor/Manufacturing Execution Systems (Level 1 Troubleshooting)
  • Engage L2 or L3 support when necessary.
  • Server disk space management and OS patching.
  • Hardware troubleshooting and replacement
  • Support users for MS Office or other PC subjects as a result of escalation of a FITS Help Desk system ticket
  • Work with other members of the IT organization to provide solutions to user issues
  • Keep IT management up to date with local and system changes
  • Desktop/Laptop setup and distribution
  • Basic Network Troubleshooting and Support
  • Execute failover/failback of shop floor systems on a periodic basis.
  • Ensure back up of systems is properly working
  • Manage local IT budget
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the plant leadership and the IT Region Leader
  • Communicate daily with plant management. Be part of the plant management daily meetings

The ideal candidate.

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:

  • 5+ years of recent Windows Systems administrator experience
  • A minimum of two years recent experience with Windows server technology including Windows 2012-2019 server administration
  • Knowledge of Windows based enterprise software
  • Knowledge of VMware solutions
  • Familiarity of Cisco based technology is a plus
  • Familiarity with UNIX based technology is a plus
  • Associate degree
  • Rigor, autonomy
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
  • Minimum 3 years manufacturing environment experience
  • Weekend on-call availability
