Industrial Program Leader

Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies, USA, LLC, a Tier-1 supplier of automotive exhaust systems and components, seeks an Industrial Program Leader in Columbus, Indiana.  National and international travel 15%.  Duties:  coordinate work package tasks (manufacturing, supplier and logistics development, quality, direct and indirect labor) prior to SOP; identify workload and competencies, and monitor in-plant know-how availability, to define personnel resources for program launch teams; use functional analysis and GD&T data to review prototype requirements and evaluate manufacturability of product designs; liaise with equipment suppliers to receive and validate new and runoff equipment; develop and validate shop floor layout for new and refurbished equipment; lead engineering change activities and coordinate with plant PC&L Manager to optimize transitions to new part numbers; review and validate new costing BOM for new part numbers in SAP; apply lean capital expenditure methodologies (process flow charts, work combination tables, process functional analysis, equipment and tool definition, material and information flow diagrams) to develop, validate and release manufacturing systems; review and validate PFMEA and DFMEA activities; monitor and support PPAP activities (run-at-rate, production trials, mass production trials, and extended production trials) to support manufacturing activities; ensure compliance with program objectives (quality, cost, delivery, performance, process and machine capability, mis-deliveries per million, parts per million, scrap, capital expenditure, amortized costs, added value, material and logistics costs, gross margin, start-up costs); draft and present reports on program launch activities; lead plant launch team meetings to identify issues, assign tasks and ensure their execution; use manufacturing tools (Plan-do-Check-Act, Single List of Issues) to monitor and solve manufacturing issues prior to program launch; establish milestones and program timelines to meet customer targets.  Minimum education required:  Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or foreign equivalent degree.  Minimum experience required:  1 year’ experience in a manufacturing launch position with a Tier-1 supplier of automotive exhaust systems and components.  Required skills:  Must have 1 year’ of work experience in each of the following: monitoring engineering change orders and engineering change requests; coordinating industrialization activities (receipt of new equipment, definition and development of plant layouts, Health-Safety-Environment certification); applying lean manufacturing methodologies (Kaizen, one-piece flow, poka yoke); monitoring quality KPIs (PPAP, PPM, mis-delivery per million, scrap, supplier performance); ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and TS 16949 quality standards; conducting capacity and machine cycle time studies; monitoring international program data sheets, run-at-rate indicators, and product packaging activities; monitoring manufacturing launch costs; developing and monitoring the implementation of program forecasts and program budgets to meet program financial targets.  Experience may be acquired concurrently.  Send resume to Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies, USA, LLC, Attn: International Mobility Department, 2800 High Meadow Circle, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326, or apply online at www.faurecia.com (Req.
