Faurecia Emissions Controls Technologies, USA, LLC seeks a Quality Engineer in Columbus, Indiana, to implement process programs to ensure that the manufacture of emissions control systems and components meets customer requirements.  National and international travel 10%. 2 positions available.  Duties: review design and process changes to determine their effect on emissions control product performance; develop, implement, and maintain appropriate inspection systems (including FMEA, sampling processes, and process control procedures) to ensure that quality specifications and standards are met; participate in APQP activities, and draft PPAP documentation and review with customers; facilitate training of company personnel on inspection methods and procedures, and quality processes; apply quality tools (statistical process control) and data analysis methodologies to improve quality and assembly processes for production of emissions control products; lead responses to customer complaints, and manage corrective actions to solve plant and program quality issues; participate in the establishment and implementation of quality specifications, testing procedures, and standards for processed and finished goods; ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF16949 standards, and with customer requirements, for all initial production part submissions; assist in the maintenance and analysis of repeatability and reproducibility calculations for gauge and gauge calibration; monitor and update quality documentation; evaluate quality of stainless steel tubing, tube manipulation, converters, and welding integrity to ensure highest quality and lowest cost. Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or foreign equivalent degree). Minimum Experience Required: 1 year experience in a quality engineering position with a Tier-1 automotive supplier. Required Skills: Must have 1 year experience in each of the following: reviewing customer blueprints (including GD&T data) to determine manufacturing processes; applying customer quality requirements, including traceability and leak rate; calculating gauge calibration and developing preventative maintenance for gauges; implementing statistical process controls on customer key features using Prolink; improving manufacturing quality verification; performing root cause analysis on quality defects.  Must have 6 months’ experience in each of the following: performing internal quality audits to validate poke yoke, scrap, and quality processes and documentation, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and TS 16949 quality standards; liaising with customer to develop PPAP documentation; determining line capacity using MiniTab; analyzing data and drafting Right First Time (Zero Defects) and COPQ reports.  Required skills may be acquired through employment, or pre- or post- graduation internships, and may be acquired concurrently.  Send resume to Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies, USA, LLC, Attn: International Mobility Department, 2800 High Meadow Circle, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326, or apply online at www.faurecia.com (Req.
