Regional Operations Controlling Manager

Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies, USA, LLC, a Tier-1 supplier of automotive exhaust systems and components, seeks a Regional Operations Controlling Manager in Columbus, Indiana, to develop, manage, and enforce financial controlling plans for North American manufacturing plants, and develop action plans to achieve operational targets, increase financial profitability, optimize costs, and identify and implement plant productivity plans. National and international travel 50%.  Duties:  oversee controlling operations and establish strategic controlling plans to improve the financial performance and competitiveness of North American manufacturing plants; ensure that plant financial activities comply with global financial procedures for product flow, inventory, routing, and internal control basics; liaise with operation and support functions (including shared services) to develop accurate financial and controlling information; lead North American plant financial forecasting processes (including budget and periodic forecasts); manage North American reporting processes to ensure reliability, consistency, transparency and timeliness; attend monthly Executive Steering Committee meetings to evaluate financial goals and achievements; evaluate plant controller data to ensure accuracy of standard costing across North American manufacturing plants; consolidate multiple plant controlling data (including variance analysis, standard costs, program margins, budgetary control, squeeze management, and sales and purchasing pricing); oversee and analyze plant operating cash flow (including capex, inventories, and overdues); collaborate with Customer Business Unit Controllers to monitor plant program start up, and participate in the validation of plant controller analyses of last reference business plan variances; liaise with plant management to develop financial operational action plans (including identification, development and implementation of personnel, material, and fixed cost productivity plans) to achieve operational targets, and increase plant financial profitability and cash optimization; validate and consolidate North American plant financial data for internal and external audits, and represent company during external audits.  Minimum education and experience required:  Master’s degree in Engineering, or foreign equivalent degree, and 3 years’ experience in controlling position with a Tier-1 automotive supplier, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or foreign equivalent degree, + 5 years’ experience in a controlling position with a Tier-1 automotive supplier.  Special skills required:  Must have 2 years’ work experience in each of the following:  integrating new OEM programs into existing financial reports; developing business plans (including financing squeeze, working capital requirements, and plant and R&D profit and loss) for full program lifecycle (acquisition through serial life) of multi-million-dollar automotive programs.  Must have 1 year’ work experience in each of the following:  evaluating profit and loss, monthly reporting, and budget development for multi-million-dollar business unit and automotive OEM customer; determining standard costs for purchased manufactured parts, and finished products; ensuring that transactions made using Manufacturing Resource Planning and entered into Enterprise Resource Planning accurately reflect financial systems; providing advice to plant management on financial topics; evaluating financial impact of manufacturing plant floor production activity for a Tier-1 automotive manufacturing plant.  Experience can be acquired concurrently.  Send resume to Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies, USA, LLC, Attn: Anna Rossi, 2800 High Meadow Circle, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326, or apply online at www.faurecia.com (Job # 4883).
