You will work closely with Purchasing, Sales, Project Management, Aftersales & Service, Operations and Financial Accounting, as well as our freight forwarders, customs brokers and suppliers to ensure that all import/export/crosstrade shipments are freight and customs compliant.
Job Description:

Be the main contact for our freight forwarders, customs brokers

Work closely with our suppliers and colleagues in the countries of sourcing to ensure completeness and correctness of shipping documents

Control, validation, management and archiving of export documents as well as import documents (CH/EU)

Tariffing and classification of goods in the customs tariff as well as checking of origin & customs documents

Carrying out preference calculations for internal products

Preparation of customs documents for customs valuation purposes across the supply chain

Establishment of a transport and customs service provides panel and service provider contract negotiations incl. price lists and payment terms

Transport organisation & handling of all local transports for export, import, domestic, crosstrade with all types of transport (truck, air, sea)

Collect, prepare, review and archive al customs documentation inbound and outbound shipments to ensure completeness and correct information filling including importer of record, tariff classification, customs value, origin, etc.

Active participation in the development and improvement of transport logistics processes and transport planning within the division

Project activity in the digitalisation of goods origin management
Your credentials:

Successfully completed education with a focus on international freight forwarding logistics / customs
-
Minimum 5+ years experience in transport logistics, customs, foreign trade in an industrial environment

Very good planning & organisational skills and efficiency in operational tasks

Negotiating skills quality / cost awareness, as well as a pragmatic approach with a sense for innovative processes

Knowledge of freight & customs cost structures

High willingness to serve, flexibility and ability to work under pressure

Independent, solution-oriented and structured working style

Strong written and oral presentation skills

Confident German and fluent English are mandatory, other foreign languages are a plus
