We’re hiring a 2nd Shift PC&L Supervisor

Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for a 2nd Shift PC&L Supervisor for its manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, IN to protect the production floor from variation and production downtime through PC&L support while managing several GAPs (Autonomous Production Group). 

 

 

You’ll work on challenges that matter

This job will require you to:

 

  • Ensure customer delivery, supervise preparation and loading of finished products into trucks, track shipments, communicate all shipment failures, implement customer misdeliveries per million (MPM) follow up and contribute to its reduction. 

  • Ensure adequate production lines supplies, assure the cleanliness and tidiness of stocking areas, ensure feeding of production lines (small train), supervise the unloading of pieces and measure suppliers MPM and manage a warning system in picking zone. 

  • Conduct the implementation of logistics basics, booking operations, traceability, labelling, container management, etc. 

  • Monitor visual management system, deploy visual first in first out (FIFO) and install physical alert systems.  

  • Organize equipment and human resources. 

  • Look for productivity gains. 

  • Manage, train and coach logistics operators team. 

  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management 

 

 

The ideal candidate

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:

 

Good communication and leadership skills, above average people and organizational skills, and be willing to work required overtime. 

Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.  

 

Experience: 

  • Experience in production or an industrial environment 

  • Past training or coaching experience preferred 

 

Skills and competencies: 

  • Strong leadership skills in coaching people 

  • Ability to be a team player and have the respect of your peers 

  • High levels of organization while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability.  

  • Able solving problems with a realistic understanding of issues 

  • Ability to enter data accurately   

  • Capable of following verbal and written instructions 

  • Solid math skills 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently 

  • Safety, quality, production and team oriented
