The role of the Laboratory Supervisor is to administrate the human and material resources to ensure the compliance of the lab activities: functional, physical, dimensional testing and calibrations to support the different production areas.

The main missions of the role are:

  • Support the quality team to ensure the compliance of the internal and external clients´ audits.
  • Review the purchasing process for the area
  • Ensure the good state of the inspection, measures and testing equipment.
  • Administrate daily the objectives of the laboratory
  • Ensure 5´s in the area
  • Realize testing for the PPAP and Production Validation for new projects
  • Participate in the design and validation of fixtures to evaluate the process of the product.
  • Ensure the compliance of certification and trainings for technical competencies of the area
  • Support the launch of new projects, ensuring that the testing procedures of the laboratory are followed.

 

Qualifications:

 

Minimum education level:  Bachelor’s degree (US/Canada) or equivalent.

 

Experience:

  • Experience in testing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.

 

Skills & Competencies:

 

  • Proven competency in Process Audits, ISO14001, & IATF 16949, MSA, SPC.
  • Experience with testing and measurement´s equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Results oriented with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Basic skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Intermediate level of English
