Your position and environment?


Our Faurecia Clean Mobility Business Group is looking for you as a VIE Plant Lean Manufacturing Engineer (FES&P: Faurecia Excellence System & Productivity) for its site in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic.


Your role and responsibilities?


The mission of the Faurecia Excellence System & Productivity (FES&P) Plant Engineer VIE is to contribute to plant performance and profitability with Direct Labor focus and the application of the Lean operating principles. 
The role can be summarized in three parts:
1.    At Plant level, provide Lean expertise (HSE, Quality, Employee Empowerment, Logistics and Production system) based on 11 Lean Manufacturing principles to contribute to achieve operational business targets.
2.    Contribute to the Plant direct manpower cost budget construction & achievement, through efficient “Direct Labor cost management” & “Direct Labor cost improvement plan”.
3.    Support Faurecia Excellence System network animation in the plant.

  The main missions of the role are:

1. At Plant level, provide Lean expertise. 

•    Follow up of the FES deployment plan, to support the Plant Improvement Plan (PIP) execution.
•    Provide, according to the needs, FES knowledge and skills to the plant team through training, coaching and education.
•    Participle to FES Principles in Programs from design stage (lean process design, value stream process, validation of equipment design, cardboard workshop activities, standardized work, human organization of production, process layout, packaging, etc..).
2. Contribute to the Plant Direct Labor cost budget construction & achievement. 

•    Direct Labor cost management at Plant level:
o    Ensure routing and coefficient data management methodology is correctly applied and respected, for direct standard and actual Labour cost accuracy.

o    Ensure Direct Labor Efficiency / Direct Labor Productivity tracking process linked with the Direct Labor cost % results.
•     Direct Labor cost improvement: 
o    Support Standard Work construction and adherence, development of Human Organization of Production (primarily GAP Leader and Supervisor roles and routines), as the main foundations to achieve high levels of operational performance.
o    Support the implementation of FES improvement tools for production reliability, change over Standards (flexibility), reduction of Line stoppages, Line balancing, and overall Direct Labor efficiency 
o    Ensure identification of Direct Labor Productivity Potential.
o    Contribute to the lead time reduction though the implementation of continuous flow, layout optimization, pull-system and speed up flows works. 

3. Support FES network animation in the plant 

•    Contribute to deploy FES culture at Supervisors & GAP Leader level
•    Propose and promote best practices within the Plant (FES Network)
•    Participate to Division level workshops to test the new ”Lean concept” or advanced tools

The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level:  Master's degree in Engineering

•    Minimum 1 year of working experience within a production environment.
•    Recognized experience and ability to improve processes and KPI's within a plant using Lean principles.
•    Previous plant launch experience and previous management experience is a plus.
