Our Faurecia Automotive Seating Business Group is looking for you as a VIE AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) Engineer -m/f for our Site in Pilsen, Czech Republic.

 

Your position and environment?

 

 

The role of the AGV Engineer is to implement 4.0 indrustry by AGV projects in ESD (Europe Seating Division) JIT (Just In Time) plants.


Main missions & Tasks:

 

• Cooperate on AGV workshops in the plant: Following the AGV toolkit methodology, the role is to work with the plant on the AGV project specifications formalization. It includes optimal layout and routes organization, AGV type and quantity, trolleys definition and karakuri systems, targeted organization and savings calculation. Karakuri worskhop with kaizen approach.

 

• Control the project planning: Based on the planning approved during the kick-off, the role is to ensure that the planning milestones are reached on time. It includes: regular follow up meetings/visits, roadblocks identification and escalation to the plant manager/DT Leader, interface with the AGV supplier and/or other parties (Jit Product Line, Purchasing, …) in order to facilitate the problem solving.

 

• Install the AGV in the plants: support plant team during installation of the magnetic tapes and PLC boxes, layout logitc of the AGV routes, AGV and karakuri tests, training of the local maintenance/logistic people, support during the launch phase. Cooperation with AGV suppliers and drive the AGV project till validation by Run@Rate. Improvement/modification of current AGV loops to use effectively AGVs for JIT 4.0 manufacturing process.

 

 Capitalize and formalize : Enrich and update the AGV Tool kit, define standard formulars/checklist to help the plant (example : OK 1st part for AGV, HSE checklist, …), transversalize best practices.

 

• Contribute to the AGV new technologies development: tool kit for new AGV applications such as JIT 4.O AGV stnd, AGV stacker, Goods To Man, etc. …. Participation to workshops to define new concepts and use cases.

 

• Other DT Technology: Participation and contribution on projects with other type of JIT 4.0 DT Technology, like DMC, ACW, ASAP cells etc.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Manufacturing Engineering or Maintenance background with focus on Industry 4.0

 

  • Some abilities in IT/PLC programming and electrical knowledge is an advantage.

 

  • PC&L Improvement experience, including layout optimization, LTC, Kanban set up.

 

  • Project management skills.

 

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work in matrix organization.

 

  • Hands on and result oriented (very pragmatic).

 

  • Fluent in English.
