Senior Industrial Controller

Description:

The role of a Industrial Controller is to manage the financial aspects of the operations, by controlling Direct Labor activity, Investments, & Manufacturing expenses, in order to guarantee and optimise the plant's financial performance and competitiveness.

 

The main missions of the role are to:

 

Control of operations :

  • Direct Labor : pilot monthly forecast review of HC & costs per UAP & Logistics and challenge to respect budget figures. Participate in weekly reviews with operations and identify variances vs. targets.
  • Manufacturing expenses : follow on weekly basis status of manufacturing expenses vs. budget, communicate variances.
  • Investments : create budget for investment when new investment request approved and pilot activation of fixed assets, and forecasts of fixed assets (monthly review with manufacturing, including review of AUC).
  • Transport costs : Follow transport (inbound & outbound) expenses on regular basis, and proper approval of special transport requests.
  • Validation of expenses : In charge of validating overheads and investments expenses in system workflow – challenge needs of departments according budget constraints.
  • Employee is informed about Code of ethics, Code of Management and Being Faurecia philosophy and is respecting and following it.

 

Monthly closing & budget :

  • Manage manufacturing expenses monthly closing in all aspects (analytical review vs. budget, review of non booked invoices and GRNI, preparation of monthly accruals, check of Non Quality Costs, analytical review per cost center shared with management).
  • Monthly closing of MOD costs in all aspects.
  • Contribute to the Budget process in his/her perimeter (capex / MOD / Manufacturing expenses) and do necessary reviews with departments.
  • Monthly reporting in reporting system & group official reports for his/her perimeter in respect of deadlines.

 

Internal Control Basics :

  • Pilot Internal Control Basics deployment within the plant with dedicated action plan.
  • Management of NRFT tool (invoices without order) and tracking within site members of non respect of related procedures.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet report for review to support financial books correctness with FSSC.
  • Pilot of Fixed Assets annual inventory within site.

 

Other duties :

  • Contribute to system improvements in his/her perimeter
  • Be force of proposition and contribute to Internal Control Basics breakthrough at site level.
  • Specific analyses upon request.
  • Guarantee the accuracy of the accounting and financial information for the plant according to the Group, Business Group and Division policies, including compliance with relevant accounting and tax rules, Code of ethics & Being Faurecia philosophy

 

Reports to :

  • Site Financial Manager direct reporting line.
  • Main contact with Manufacturing / HR / UAP departments in the plant.
  • Direct contacts with Financial Shared Services Center in Poland.

 

 

 

Qualification requirements:

Education

  • Business School or Engineering background with a Finance degree, Masters degree in Finance or Master in Economics (or equivalent) or in Science with proven financial knowledge

 

 

Professional experience (years and area of experience)

  • 5 years of professional experience in finance / controlling environment
  • Industrial experience and strong accounting knowledge (automotive a plus) 

 

Professional knowledge

  • Czech legislation and legal requirements
  • Strong sense of teamwork 
  • Business minded 
  • Results orientation with strong written and oral communications skills 
  • Computer literate
  • Self-starter

 

Language knowledge level (e.g.fluent for daily communication on a proffesional level, intermidiate for internal communication, basic communication within the team, technical terminology knowledge, as an advantage but not necessary)

  • Czech mother tongue
  • English fluent for daily communication on a profesional level                  
  • German – as an advantage

 

PC skills

  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
