Our Faurecia Clarion Electronics Business Group - Engineering Division is looking for a Hardware Architect for Europe to be based at Pune- India.


The Hardware Architect will be responsible for defining the best Hardware architecture for a product or a system considering customer requirements, legal, cyber security, functional safety requirements.


Hardware Architecture and design scope include:

  • Requirements analysis / and management
  • Cyber security related to Electronic
  • Functional Safety related to Electronic
  • Hardware product architecture
  • Quality / Cost / customer planning and deadlines
  • Design to cost approach
  • Technology survey and Innovation


Main Activities/Responsibilities:


  • Make deep HW analysis of System and HW Requirements (New concept/Platform product/RFI-RFQ)
  • Define a Hardware architecture which meets (New concept/Platform product/RFI-RFQ) specifications, mechanical integration, and design manufacturing
  • Guarantee the consistency between the architecture proposal and compliance matrix
  • Participate to the design to cost activities with purchasing department and product technical leader
  • Define and report Risks and opportunities with project team 
  • Create and follow sourcing with purchasing department and suppliers
  • Participate to Build demonstrator if required (A-sample)
  • Support technical meeting with supplier/customer (occasional business trips if necessary)
  • Create synergy between Architecture and designs
  • Justify and capitalize the choices
  • Participate in the improvements of architecture tools and templates (Architecture, Power tree, BOMs, HW functions, sourcing…)





The ideal candidate will have/be:


Minimum education level:

  • Master/Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics/Computer Science.
  • Proficient in English



  • Prior experience of minimum 10 years in Electronic product design in automotive (Power, digital, analog, RF, video, audio…), and mechanical integration
  • Successful launch of several products in mass production
  • Knowledge in Functional safety and Cybersecurity
  • Knowledge in software architecture is appreciated


Skills and competencies:

Must have:

  • Skills in electronic design / mechanical integration / design manufacturing
  • Capabilities to propose alternative design in electronic and mechanic with designer / experts. Capable of having global understanding of software / electronic /mechanic / industrialization links and impacts between activities
  • Design to cost philosophy.
