Description of the main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, implementation and improvement of the external flows :
  • Analyze flows of materials, inventory and scheduling processes to accelerate the physical flows.
  • Propose, evaluate, direct the design, development, and/or improvement of tools, equipment, and/or transportation/storage processes for an assigned area.
  • Provide technical support for specific plant operations (Layout, new project, Material Information Flow Analysis...).
  • Design transportation processes within timeframe and budget parameters.
  • Support activities to achieve and maintain the Quality Standards and the safety standards.
  • Actively participate in and support the implementation of the Faurecia Excellence System (FES).
  • Become TEO expert – manage TEO activites and processes.
  • Manage day to day responsibilities involving the Mexico plants: Intra Mexico, Cross Border and International Mexico and Arlinnton and Chattanooga.
  • Cross train in all FCM NAO Transportation:  FCM US-CA
      • Back up to US Traffic Scheduler and International Transportation Specialist
  • Support FCM NAO Transportation strategy designed by FCM NAO Transportation Manage
  • Possess strong cumputer skills: MS Office, TEO (traning provided)
  • Strong analystical skills
  • Identify and propose cost savings opportunities
  • Contribute to the budget and costs reduction plan :
  • Participate in the preparation of data to support negotiation with carriers in co-ordination with Purchasing & Division Transportation Manager.
  • Participate in the preparation of Supplier Logistics Agreement with PC&L teams.
  • Meet the Carriers contacts on a regular basis (once a quarter at least) with Division Transportation Manager.
  • Provide data for transportation indicators and analysis for follow up costs and budget building.
  • Measure the costs of transportation for each inbound and outbound flow. Propose action plans to reduce the costs.
  • Provide support to the plants and implement solutions to maintain the continuity of the production flows :
  • On a regular basis, communicate complete, precise & reliable information to the carriers contacts. Adapt the chosen method of communication to the level of the carriers contact.
  • Alert production control and Logistics teams in the event of a crisis, to define priorities with the carriers & internally (management, PC&L team), follow the evolution of any associated action plans. If necessary, escalate.
  • Manage all non-scheudled shipment request.
  • Direct plants to support Transportation Strategy
  • Must be willing to effectiely support transportation strategy when challenged
  • Insure plants compliance :
      • Carrier panel, freight payment, legal documents, etc…
      • Support FCM NAO Transportation strategy  - effectively manage conflict internally.
      • Effective problem solving skills.
      • Manage plants to be compliant with FCM NAO Transportation strategy.
      • Effectve conflict management
      • Strong ability to coach and counsel plants to be compliant with FCM NAO tranasportation processes.
      • Problem resolution.
