The VAVE engineer is responsible for identifying, coordinating, implementing the different savings projects that ensure that the purchasing area savings objectives are met or exceeded, in order to achieve the organization's budgeted profitability. We also lead the different workshops involving key functions in the identification, feasibility and implementation of savings projects, based on detailed knowledge and analysis of the product or purchase components.

 

The main objectives of this profile are:

 

  • Carry out multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from phases from feasibility to implementation, throughout the life of serial production.
  • Manage and report to your internal clients (plant managers) for which you are responsible, the progress of your projects, including current savings and analyzes that cover the fiscal year.
  • Performance of "Dashboards" of the KPI's under their responsibility: IP, VAVE for the plants that are assigned
  • Visit suppliers to follow up on new savings ideas.
  • Conduct and coordinate workshops with suppliers, at the supplier's site in order to find savings projects for components or purchase materials
  • Carry out and coordinate workshop activities in Faurecia plants with the different corporate and local functions
  • Perform monthly Activity Report (MPR: Monthly Purchase Report)
  • Participate in the construction of the Budget with the savings ideas in its IP and VAVE´s category.
     

Candidate Requirements

 

  • Industrial, mechanical or related engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the industrial sector (preferably in the automotive sector)
  • Advanced English
  • Experience in an international environment
  • Experience in coordinating savings projects
  • Knowledge and management of parcel office and SAP
  • Experience in manufacturing processes for various commodities
