Our GBS is looking for a Commodity Buyer – Indirect Purchasing for the commodities Industrial Services and Supplies to be based in Santa Maria da Feira.

  

The main missions of the role are:

 

  • Develop market intelligence for assigned commodities;
  • Contribute to the development of the Group Indirect  Purchasing Strategy;
  • Participate in the definition and the implementation of the purchasing panel.
  • Manage the Sourcing to Contract (S2C) for assigned commodities.
  • Lead the regional and global  projects and competitive bids coordinated by IdP Global Commodity team.
  • Integrate the needs of the different regions. Contribute to data collection, specifications standardization when applicable and evaluation of needs;
  • Identify synergies cross BG’s and take in charge transversal group projects;
  • Prepare spends analysis, project executive summary and project conclusion for the commodities and be able to present the conclusions to stakeholders and to the steering committees.
  • Negotiate corporate contracts according to the Group standards;
  • Lead implementation of these contracts at local, regional and global level when required.
  • Define and manage deployment and communication plans in all regions to stakeholders.
  • Manage Tools for RFI, RFQ, etc (eg.: SAP ARIBA)
  • Manage the contract database for the record and management of the contracts;
  • Report the negotiation and projects results in a productivity database.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

 

  • Higher education degree in Engineering, Business, Management of related areas;
  • Fluent in English; French / Spanish will be a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing in an industrial environment;
  • MS-Office knowledge (Excel advanced level is needed);
  • Computer literate and good knowledge of IT systems (SAP / ARIBA as a plus).
  • Knowledge of contractual and legal aspects;
  • Good negotiation skills;
  • Results oriented  with strong written and oral communications skills;
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization;
  • International mind set.
