IT Security is more challenging and complex than ever. It is not an easy task in the modern era, and between the regulations and exploding number of data breaches, to balance appropriate protection while remaining a business enabler.  

Each day, IT teams are tackling critical challenges to help build Faurecia’s competitive advantage throughout Digital Transformation. Examples include developing mobile apps, harnessing and applying Big Data, engaging in predictive analysis, leveraging the cloud and contributing to Faurecia’s cultural shift to become a digitally advanced company. IT also plays a lead role in ensuring continuous optimization and cybersecurity of our company processes.


Our Cybersecurity team within our IT Department - Group Information Systems (GIS) is looking for a Data Classification and Protection Specialist (m/f) to be based in Santa Maria da Feira, Porto (Portugal).



As a member of the Data Classification and Protection team, the main role of the DCP Analyst is to analyse the DCP events, classify them accordingly and trigger all the necessary actions to prevent reoccurrence and/or to mitigate data loss consequences


The main missions of the role are:

  • Analyses and understands the Business needs in terms of data protection and translates them into protection policies
  • Analyses, classifies and follows DCP events
  • Actively involves the Business in the event analysis and classification, when necessary
  • Identifies and reports on systematic breaches and proposes corrective actions
  • Reports false positives to the DCP Policy Author and assists in the DCP policies improvement and fine tuning


Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform the function with discipline and accept responsibilities in accordance with the Politics of the Quality and the Environment and Security, making everything to assure the conformity of the products supplied to our customers and to avoid the occurrence of casualties, in respect to itself exactly and the thirds, as well as of material damages and aggression the environment;


  • To fulfil and to make to fulfil he rules of security and the politics and procedures of HSE;


  • Respect and ensure in his/her daily approach the correct and fully implementation of the Faurecia code of ethics (Respect for fundamental Human Rights, Development of economic and social dialogue, Development of skills, Ethics and rules of business conduct, if necessary reporting infringements to the Code of Ethics).


  • Respect and ensure in his/her daily approach the correct and fully implementation of the Faurecia code of management (BUSINESS PLANNING, BUSINESS EXECUTION, PERFORMANCE Management & PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT, BUSINESS ETHICS)



The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • University degree in IT or Business Management – preferential
  • Experience and understanding of the business areas and activities of an international manufacturing company
  • Open minded and strong facility to adapt to new situations
  • Fluent English mandatory (any additional language welcome)
  • Travel up to 10%
