System Project Leader

The COF system project leader is the owner of all the system project activity + all system requirement & architecture activity of one or several given system projects, relying on System Engineering and Model Based System Engineering methodologies.

The given system projects combine and interface components and sub-systems from Faurecia perimeter* but as well from partners, to provide user experiences related to, for example, comfort, wellness safety, communication, and human-machine interface within a vehicle.

 

He/she leads the system project, and the associated project team, until the system is “ready to sell” including but not limited to

 

  • analysis the stakeholder specifications from System Concept Engineer (SysCE), elaborate the system requirements, defines the System Architecture

 

  • system functional and safety analysis, design activities and reviews of detailed application module specifications, classes, objects, methods, and other software components

 

  • supports the system project team to achieve business targets by having a Virtual (Digital Twin) and/or physical functional mockup (PoC) enabling credibility at OEM engineering and product planning leadership level.

 

He/she supports the definition of the System business targets.

He/she ensure the project deliverables enable credibility at OEM engineering and product planning leadership level.

He/she report project status in appropriate governance meetings.

 The Position reports hierarchically to CoF China head and functionally to Global CoF system development head

 This position is based in Shanghai

 

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Manage functionally one (or several) System Project team(s)

 

  • Contractualize system project with all system stakeholders (internal and externals)

 

  • Drive system concept engineering and system engineering (analysis, specification, development – Left part of V-Cycle)

 

  • Drive the system PoC, testing and validations (Right part of V-Cycle)

 

  • Drive the setup of business enablers

 

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Hard skills

  • Master of Sciences degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, including work with operational, and technical architectures of large and complex system in automotive environment.
  • Understanding of main vehicle cabin and EE architecture stakes.
  • Experience on System Engineering (MBSE would be a plus) methodology applied on at least one project.
  • Experience on embedded automotive systems development and associated process assessment model (example Automotive SPICE).
  • Experience should include work in project team (Agile)
  • Experience in complex system (Sensor/algo/actuator) is a plus.
  • Experience on Functional safety (ex. ISO26262) and security mechanisms.
  • Usage of System Requirement tools (DOORS/ Reqtify) and/or SysML modeling tools (Rhapsody/ Entreprise Architect/ PREEvision/ NoMagic/ Simulink/ Scade) is a plus.
  • Familiar with primary manufacturing methods (ex. DFA, DFM)

  • Must be flexible and able to work effectively and proactively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Must have good organization skills and have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Familiar with primary manufacturing methods
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Intercultural and open mindset, overseas experiences a plus.
  • Minimum bi-lingual (English required).
  • Flexibility for business travel.
  • Skills in project management/supplier management
