Position Title: Quality Engineer                                   Site and Division: Simpsonville, NAO

Main Purpose of the Job

· Perform the role of the Customer within the Plant.


Main Duties/Activities


· Coach and train the operator/GAP leaders/supervisors on the quality principles of Faurecia and Customer specifics.

· Champion QSE activities and coach plant personnel

· Manage the quality system through the FCP’s

· Support the Plant process engineer in the updating and maintenance of the PFMEA’s

· Support and lead continuous improvement activities

· Stop customer shipments of nonconforming product

· Manage the Customer Liaisons, where applicable


Specific Responsibilities:

· Quality Documentation

o Update and maintain the control plan

o Confirm PFMEA updates from the plant process engineer

· Engineering changes

o Update documentation to support engineering changes

· Ensure customer/internal complaints are adequately answered, on time, and using FIS problem solving methodology with active participation from production personnel. (QRQI, Quality Walls, etc.)

o Communication of BOP issues to the SQA

· Communicate Warranty claims with the plant engineering

o Follow-up with the plant’s action plans for the warranty claims

· Input all external complaints into QSSC.

o Review and monitor complaint status until closure

· Responsible for presenting, in conjunction with the Program Quality Leader, the initial customer PPAP for all parts produced within Faurecia.

o Re-PPAP of engineering changes/ process changes/ in-sourcing

· Comply with and reinforce the Code of Management and Code of Ethics of Faurecia

  • Complete Customer concerns
  • Production Support to UAP















Skills and Know-how:

· Bachelor’s Degree required

· Experience in production in an industrial environment

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial environment, preferred automotive supplier

o Proven competency in control plans, D/PFMEAs, Process Audits, ISO9001 and ISO/TS 16949, key characteristics management, 8D/ Corrective action plans skills, APQP, MSA, SPC and PPAP

o Experience with OEM specific quality requirements

· Results oriented with strong written and oral communication skills

· Basic skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint)
