Our GIS Division is looking for a Lead IT Technician for its Plant in Spring Hill, TN.

 

The role of a Lead IT Technician is to support the facility, support other technicians issues and IT Shared Services North America in the daily operations of the local network and IT hardware connected to it  This position shall serve as the administrator for and provide user support of information and communication business systems, telecommunications and related issues. The main missions of the role include:
 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Shopfloor systems with MES & JIT broadcast support and troubleshooting.
  • Support IT issues with office and manufacturing systems (Level 1 Troubleshooting)
  • Basic user support on common systems (such as Microsoft office)
  • Windows server management
  • ESX/VMWare Management
  • Hardware troubleshooting and replacement
  • Support users through a Help Desk system
  • Work with other members of IT Shared Services to provide solutions to user issues
  • Keep IT management up to date with local and system changes
  • Desktop/Laptop setup, configuration, support and distribution
  • LAN and Wireless Network Troubleshooting and Support (Cisco switch and wireless preferred).
  • Provide knowledge transfer to other IT Technicians in support of their roles.
  • Mentor other local technicians on Faurecia GIS policies, procedures and support tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the plant leadership and the IT Region Leader
     

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Associates/Bachelor degree in Information Technology, applicable certifications, or 5 years experience in the function
  • Familiarity with real time shop floor data systems and automotive production line processes is a plus
  • Experience in an automotive manufacturing production environment preferred
  • Leadership skills to train / mentor the other onsite IT team
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and understanding of when to escalate issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population and demonstrate good interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. Customer service skills training and experience in or out of IT preferred.
  • Requires familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Server 2008 and above
  • Requires familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Requires familiarity with software and hardware of PCs and IBM network servers.
  • Requires familiarity with VMWare and HyperV.
  • Cisco Wireless and Networking experience and/or training preferred.
  • Previous team leader role or recommendation from ITOP Management for this position.
