Faurecia Interior Systems, Inc., Tier-1 supplier of automotive interior components and systems, seeks an Account Director in Sunnyvale, California, to oversee commercial and technical activities (strategic business planning, product development, sales target planning, pricing planning, and contractual negotiations) for new commercial vehicle interior components (instrument panels, door panels, center consoles, and decorative components) programs.  National and international travel 30%.  Duties: establish and oversee all supporting functions for the development of sales and strategic alliances for new commercial OEM customers; lead technical review meetings for interior components programs with engineering, manufacturing, quality, controlling, program management, and sales teams; evaluate new technology, function of components and development of advanced interior system components to direct customer commercial activities (business development and growth, sales negotiations) for interior components programs; validate calculations for manufacturing processes, material selection, and tooling costs for complex, multi-million-dollar interior components programs, and use calculations to negotiate initial contracts and customer Engineering Change Requests (ECRs); consider customer preferences and requirements for the engineering and development of new interior components; evaluate engineering product development, technology requirements, environmental constraints, customer manufacturing requirements, competitor intelligence and program timelines to develop strategic direction and formulate short- and long-term volume production for interior components programs; demonstrate company’s manufacturing methods and material capabilities at customer meetings, and recommend manufacturing and material solutions to meet customer requirements; monitor compliance with Program Management System milestones; monitor business plan, global sales throughput, and program profit/loss (from development stage to start of production).  Minimum education required:  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business, or foreign equivalent degree.  Minimum experience required:  3 years’ experience in a program or account management position with a Tier-1 supplier of automotive interior systems.  Special skills:  Must have 2 years’ experience in each of the following:  analyzing tooling quotes, project volume increases, and customer ECRs to determine the feasibility of interior components programs; analyzing customer RFQs and source packages for interior components programs; evaluating costs and the impact of assembly and capacity issues on RFQs and customer ECRs; analyzing customer bill of materials, and packaging and transportation, supplier, and quality requirements; drafting piece price and tooling cost estimates for interior components programs; analyzing customer purchasing trends and volume estimations to draft financial forecasts and budgetary overviews for interior components programs; evaluating customer perceived quality (plush, grain, color, gloss, and gap and flush) complaints and negotiating corrective actions needed to meet customer quality targets; developing cost reduction strategies for material, product, and manufacturing for interior components programs; monitoring business plan evolution and managing risk and opportunities to meet KPI targets.  Experience may be acquired concurrently.  Send resumes to Faurecia Interior Systems, Inc., Attn: Anna Rossi, 2800 High Meadow Circle, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326, or apply online at www.faurecia.com (Job # 4622).
