Faurecia Interior Systems, Inc., Tier-1 supplier of automotive interior components and systems, seeks a Program Manager in Sunnyvale, California, to oversee development activities (from award to 6 months after handoff for production) for interior components (instrument panels, door panels, center consoles, and decorative components) programs for multi-location manufacture.  National and international travel to manufacturing plants and customer sites 35%.  Duties:  coordinate all interior component program activities (including profit and loss, budget compliance, financial controlling, engineering and product development, procurement, industrialization, and launch management) with program core team; provide direction to program core team on industrialization, tooling design and construction, cost estimating, and launch for programs with international development activities and customer requirements; consider make/buy analysis, supplier technologies, geographical location, and cost methodologies to formulate supplier, technology, and process strategies, anticipate requirements for multi-million-dollar automotive interior components programs, minimize disruption in supply chain, and maximize profitability; initiate and plan production tooling, set targets for prototype and production tooling pricing, and work with purchasing to ensure pricing targets are met; analyze product design of interior components for feasibility, cost, and strategic business planning; lead Technical Value Optimization workshops for all interior components to analyze, prioritize and implement cost reductions; identify and recommend product and process standardization for automotive interior components to improve profitability; negotiate pricing and terms and conditions (design, footprint, and process changes) with customers.  Minimum education and experience required:  Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business, or foreign equivalent degree, and 2 years’ experience in a program core team engineering or finance position with a Tier-1 supplier of automotive interior systems.  Special skills required:  Must have 2 years’ work experience in each of the following:  reviewing, validating, and implementing plant layout and production process flow for industrialization, launch, and production of interior components programs; formulating business case analyses for interior components programs, and implementing approved changes in plant setting; evaluating product design and manufacturing processes (including tooling and equipment) for interior components manufactured using plastic injection, plastic welding, slush, wrapping, covering, laminating, milling, punching, and assembly; negotiating pricing and terms and conditions (design, footprint, and process changes) with customer for interior components programs.  Experience may be acquired concurrently.  Send resumes to Faurecia Interior Systems, Inc., Attn: Anna Rossi, 2800 High Meadow Circle, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326, or apply online at www.faurecia.com (Job # 4640).
