Description:
 

Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for a Welding Specialist to be based at its Toledo, OH Location.

 

In his/her field of expertise, and through either plant manufacturing, welding and /test processes, the Welding Specialist will be capable of:

  • Evaluation and correction of welding and weld testing processes.
  • Weld development and implementation of preventative counter measures and process improvement, of weld issues.
  • Elimination of variability & validation of weld process innovations.
  • Ensure, under weld engineering directive, the development and deployment of weld process standards, reduced weld set-up procedures, weld guidelines, and best practices implementation.
  • Support weld equipment evaluation, weld programs process enhancements, for improved reliability and focus on daily plant and weld process improvements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Programming of new products on robot cell
  • Documentation of parameters
  • Training of manual welders
  • Training of operators of TPM on welding process
  • Welding Equipment maintenance (torches, welding machines, contact tips)
  • Adjustment of Robot Programs within set rules
  • Trouble shooting

 

Qualification:
The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Manual Welding MAG / TIG Expertise of thin walled stainless steel
  • Extensive Robot Programming Skills
  • Interpretation of Weld cut Sections according to Specification
  • Setting of all Power Sources
  • Minimum (3) years of experience in manufacturing/welding
  • Leadership skills. Good interpersonal skills (Job requires a lot of personnel interaction)
  • Good baseline understanding of computers and basic computer logic
  • Proven technical skills on process and product, in welding.
  • Robotics, technical problem-solving skill desired
  • English required.
