Our Comfort & Wellness product line, part of Covers and Foam Solutions division is looking for an Advanced Quality Engineer.

The Advanced Quality Engineer is a support member of the Program Core Team and Plant launch team. She/He has overall responsibility of supporting the achievement of quality deliverables during development and new product launch. The Advance Quality Engineer supports PQL and ASQ in representing the Customer Voice within the company and ensure leadership when needed towards the customer and internally with the others functions on quality matters. Total Customer Satisfaction is the overall goal.

The main missions are as follows:

  • Ensure Quality tasks integration all along program phases, successful launch and plant hand-over.
  • Ensure on time delivery of his/her related PMS work packages and key deliverables per program phases.
  • Actively work with Plant Quality to ensure smooth launch with plant & be the driver of Quality in new launches
  • Follow Quality objectives defined during program phase and specially during pre-series, launch and ramp-up.
  • Review every new process linked with his/her product family (PQA & PSR).
  • Establish or update full documentation package (FMEA, KPC list, Control plan…) on their product family
  • Ensure the respect of the quality standards (based on Control Plan, PFMEA, Standardize Work,....).
  • Establish and follow up action plan linked to Product & Process implementation.
  • Animate reverse FMEAs / Capitalize and transversalize improvements within program and plant teams
  • Drives customer claims resolution process, ensuring robustness of problem solving (8D, QRCI...)
  • In case of non-conformity, ensure deployment of containment actions: with respect of standard TQW and corrective actions.
  • Support customer audits and prioritize customer prompt response



Detailed axis of work:

  • Coordinate the Program Quality function for a local program
    • Review & validate prototypes preparation before sending to customers
    • Review issues from DV/PV in support to PQL & R&D teams
    • Participate actively to the Engineering Change Request deployment.
    • Approve the work instructions on the production lines and thus ensure that all necessary inspections are included, the necessary time is allocated in the standardized work sheets and that the related measuring equipment is available and meets requirements (MSA, R&Rstudy, etc).
    • Support the production team in the implementation of the Quality Basics in Production for new lines / launches (train, implement, track, alert in case of deviation...).
    • Define and update the inspection instructions according to the control plan (e.g. final inspection instructions, ok 1st part instruction,...).
    • Ensure that best practices are shared within all regions about Program Management System (PMS) deliverables, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), product quality issues, lessons learned, shop-floor solutions, Bought Part issues with potential impacts on the customer,
    • report quality status to the program & plant team (Program Manager, PQL, ASQ, Quality Manager)
    • Ensure the correct escalation of the alert system in the Plant.


  • Cross-check the Customer Specific Requirements & application, as example (not limited to):
    • Renault-Nissan ANPQP
    • Stellantis PSA APQP
    • VW group (BeON, Formel-Q)



  • Support Supplier Quality activities
    • Follow-up of APQP and Carry-over-parts
    • Review conformity of key components
    • Support containment or inspection actions
    • Review & challenge supplier’s 8Ds






The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Minimum education level: Engineering degree (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or related), Quality specialization desirable
  • Language: English Fluent mandatory, other language is an advantage specially French or German
  • Knowledge of automotive industry or similar manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to travel in case of need



  • 2 year of proven experience in the Automotive industry, (Previous positions such as Plant Quality Engineer, Process Engineer is an advantage…).
  • Proven experience in problem solving, audits, customer contact
  • Proven experience in program management is a plus


Skills and competencies

  • Practitioner about Quality tools: Functional analysis, FMEA, Special Characteristics, reliability, problem solving, variability reduction, etc
  • Familiar with program management
  • Good knowledge about Faurecia Excellence System and Quality System Efficiency, would be appreciated.
  • Supplier management experience will be an advantage
  • Leadership and autonomy.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Management abilities in a matrix environment.
  • International mind-set.
