Faurecia Clean Mobility (FCM) is looking for a Site HSE Engineer (M/F) for its Allenjoie plant (25), located 20 minutes from Belfort and Montbéliard, near the Swiss and German borders. In this Industry 4.0 plant, FCM manufactures and assembles advanced emission reduction solutions as well as hydrogen storage systems.

The role of an HSE Engineer is, within the framework of national legislation, to ensure compliance with Faurecia’s HSE policy in the plant under their responsibility.

Main responsibilities:

  • Report to management on site performance in terms of safety, annually during the Management Review and on an ad hoc basis as part of specific actions
  • Act as the main point of contact for authorities (Labor Inspectorate, CRAM, DRIRE, etc.)
  • Supervise and coordinate actions related to the HSE management system (standards, waste management policy, regulations, CO₂ emissions)
  • Ensure system compliance with ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001 standards
  • Carry out tasks related to the implementation and maintenance of the environmental management system (monitoring indicators, regulatory watch, HSE-MS documentation, etc.)
  • Organize waste management
  • Participate in the chemical product approval process
  • Take part in investigations and root cause analysis in the event of accidental pollution
  • Promote environmental protection
  • Lead plant risk assessments and propose solutions to improve working conditions, safety levels, and environmental compliance
  • Propose an annual HSE action plan to plant management
  • Advise and support managers and employees
  • Participate in the Faurecia HSE network
  • Ensure monitoring and reporting of HSE indicators
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and manage relations with official bodies
  • Apply and enforce the Code of Ethics and the Management Code

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree +4/5 (Master’s level or equivalent)

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of managerial experience, ideally including 3 years in a similar role (production environment) – Engineer, Supervisor, or equivalent

Skills and competencies:

  • Problem-solving skills
  • English required (minimum B1, ideally C1)
  • Strong knowledge of HSE tools and methods: FMEA (AMDEC), “5 Whys” method, job descriptions, audits, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18000, etc.
  • Leadership and team management
  • Knowledge of HSE and workplace safety
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
