Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Position Summary: As part of the Industrial strategy department, you will be responsible for managing all industrial investment. This includes the capital budget, IFRS-16 debt and restructuring funds. In this role you will coach the plant manufacturing engineering managers and PML teams in the rules governing capex within Forvia and ensure these teams support a prudent investment approach. A key responsibility is to provide accurate reporting and forecasting to both division and BG. 

Responsibilities: 

  1. Budget / SP process
    1. Work with program teams and plants to understand and prioritize capital needs for fiscal year Division CAPEX budget 
    2. Work with plant, central, and IDP teams to understand IFRS16 needs for fiscal year within the Division (including building & equipment) 
  2. Monthly reporting with BG & finance team
    1. Ensure reliability and integrity of CAPEX financials
    2. Use of COCA (FCS)
    3. Issue reliable and timely reporting and consolidation for Commitment and CAPEX actuals and forecasts 
    4. Provide managers with accurate performance measurements of CAPEX on a weekly and monthly basis for Program, Plant, and Division 
  3. Managing CARs through CARCO and CCMC process
    1. Ensure timely submission and review of investment requests
    2. Analyze and challenge capital requirements and investments 
    3. Gain relevant approvals
    4. Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site 
  4. Prioritization of capex and developing strategies to meet division commitments
  5. Responsible for overall management of CARgo system including CAR processing, updating user access, and training of new users
  6. Division Key User / Subject Matter Expert for CARgo & CoCa systems
  7. All other duties as assigned by the company

 

Position Specifications 

Authorities: 

  1. Make Final decisions on amount and timing of investment requests to minimize lead time for forecast
  2. Assess CAR readiness and approve submission to Group/BG level 
  3. Instruct Program Manufacturing Leaders to ensure monthly target in capex declaration and commitment (CAR submissions)

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in industrial engineering
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in Automotive industry Experience in different department such as production, program management, logistic and/or manufacturing
