FORVIA is looking for a year-round Human Resources Intern for its headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Intern is responsible for aiding the Human Resources Department in completion of specific assigned tasks and projects. Through successful completion of these tasks and projects the Intern will obtain experience and knowledge within their field of educational pursuit within the automotive industry. The Human Resources Intern is responsible for administrative processes while contributing to efficiency and compliance with Faurecia standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain training trackers with training hours, costs, and effectiveness
- Update site organizational charts monthly
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation and ensure completion of required forms and training
- Act as a Human Resources Representative for the site Intern Program
- Create and renew purchase orders for HR and other services
- Perform general clerical duties such as I-9 verification, filing, tracking information, and scheduling
- Assist in HRIS updates, audits, and data validation activities
- Draft internal communications, newsletters, and intranet updates
- Construct letters of employment verification & immigration related invitation letters
- Assist in Employee Engagement strategy, action planning, and deployment
- Demonstrate professionalism by safeguarding confidential details
- Support other duties and special projects as assigned
- Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
- Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site

Education / Experience:
- Full Time Student enrolled in an accredited 4 year College or University
- Minimum 2.8 GPA
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Business Administration, or a relevant equivalent field
