Position Summary: The Human Resources Director is responsible for the development, implementation and application of a Human Resources Strategy that fits within the broader objectives of the Country and aligned with the Division and Business Group.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and negotiate union contracts, evaluate the business implication of labor issues and guide labor relations within the Country organization
- Support plants startups and launch activities involving labor and pressure environments
- Is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the Employee Empowerment policy and spirit and makes sure it is applied
- Support other Senior Management Members in adapting their teams to the organization growth and changes and ensure talent meets the needs of the organization
- Is responsible for the building and following through of the Human Resources Budget
- Keep the team informed about all relevant information; responsible for managing all Human Resources of the team including the professional development and annual performance reviews and participation in recruitment
- Understand how to work in a matrix structure and make sure that resources and best practices available are optimized within the Country organization
- Work with management to deploy and assess performance of employees within their perimeter
- Lead training actions within their perimeter as it pertains to Employee Empowerment, Management Development
- Work in close partnership with finance and legal function in ensuring appropriate funding and compliance of the compensation and benefits program
- Oversee reporting accuracy and make sure that figures are in line with Group guidelines for all Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Ensure alignment of workforce performance
- Ensure compliance with laws of the region (FLSA, ADA, EEO…)
- Developing, implementing and managing the Employee Empowerment policy and spirit and makes sure it is applied
- Deploy and assess performance of employees within their perimeter
- Work in a matrix structure and make sure that resources and best practices available are optimized within the Country organization
- Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
- Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site
- Support the leadership and commitment from top management according to the NAO environmental policy and ISO 14001

Position Specifications
Authorities:

Knowledge / Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of local unions
- Extensive knowledge of labor laws
- Ability to establish and communicate company policies to prevent non-compliance with the law
- Awareness of the local and nationwide economic situation to effectively recruit and retain associates
- Strong ability to communicate efficiently with all levels of management, co-workers and subordinates
- Ability to interpret verbal and non-verbal behavior and to develop accurate perceptions and understandings of others’ feelings, needs, values and opinions; to be sensitive to and aware of personality differences and conflicts
- Ability to resolve conflicts and supports managers in building effective teams
- Sensitive treatment of confidential information
- Strong written and oral communication
Education / Experience:
- Master’s degree with specialization in HR Management
- Minimum 15 years of HR experience
- Minimum 10 years of management experience
