Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Quality Excellence in Advanced Problem Solving (Six Sigma)

 

  • Facilitate Advanced Problem Solving competencies (8D, Six Sigma Problem Solving) 
    • Support teams in problem solving through application of statistical methods to facts and data
      • Problem Statement & Root Cause Analysis
      • Quality tools like Ishikawa diagram, Box diagram, Pareto diagram, Hypothesis evaluation, Design of Experiments are applied as relevant
      • Use of Minitab (or alternative software) for statistical analysis
      • Application of QRCI or 8D where relevant
      • Six Sigma methodology to be followed when escalated from 8D
      • Ensure capture of “Lessons Learned” for sharing
    • Green Belt & Black Belt training program
    • Use / review / coach team in statistical methods of data analysis
    • Review appropriate measurement systems for data collection and analysis are being applied by the teams
    • Identify equipment and tooling concerns that may contribute to inefficiencies, to propose potential improvements during product development

 

Confirm correct construction of Design of Experiments or ANOVA for problem analysis

 

Customer Warranty Management

  • Led warranty team & plants with interaction with customer warranty network to monitor, investigate and lead resolution of final customer complaint related to product issue
  • Manage the relation with the customer for collection and return of warranty parts.  Review at customer return centers monthly
  • Evaluate and forecast the warranty cost based on customer feedback and serial life team input.  Develop and present executive level warranty summaries at regular intervals
  • Develop, implement, and manage Warranty Cost Reduction programs to reduce financial exposure of Faurecia
  • Develop and implement statistical analysis and early prediction of failure trends for all products
  • Supervise and coach Warranty Engineers, who will track, predict, analyze and report vehicle warranty cost and claim performance
  • Analyzes customer warranty policies and update/develops internal procedures and instructions to meet their requirements
  • Report on monthly performance, trends, pareto and corrective actions 
  • Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality functions for warranty part failure and analysis and problem solving
  • Liaise with Engineering requesting ECR's and driving improvements to warranty related issues
  • Ensure timely response to customer based upon root cause analysis and proposed resolution 

 

Track corrective action implementation timing with clean point to measure the effectiveness of the corrective action

Your profile and competencies to succeed

  • Bacholer's degree with a preference in Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of warranty experience
  • Familiar with OEM customer portals such as Ford, GM, Stellantis 
  • Certification as a Six Sigma Green or Black Belt - preferred
  • Experience working within a matrixed organization
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Able to travel throughout Metro Detroit on a regular basis with quarterly travel to Mexico
