Your mission, roles and responsibilities
FORVIA is committed to supporting Talent Centric journeys for our Talents. As the Talent and Organization Development (TOD) Director, you will lead the employee development and organization strategy for the Seating Division, ensuring they have the right people developed for the right role at the right time. This role reports directly to the Seating Vice President Human Resources for the North America Region and functionally to the Business Group Talent and Organization Development Leader and North America Talent and Organization Development Director.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
As the TOD Director for the Seating Division, your key responsibilities will be:
- Develop and lead the talent development strategy across the Division in North America, including our manufacturing facilities across US and Mexico.
- Lead People Review and Key Reservoir Review processes including succession planning, career development processes, and overall talent management action plans
- Provide HR leadership in the Strategic Planning Process
- Manage region-wide performance review and objective setting processes
- Facilitate mobility, cross-functional moves, and career development discussions
- Ensure that talent development tools are properly used to promote functional and geographic mobility at all levels
- Provide leadership for mentoring, coaching, and early career programs.
- Coach, develop, and empower management and HR team on talent development topics and provide KPI’s, indicators and feedback to align organizational decisions to business needs
- Propose and lead short, medium- and long-term HR action plans that support Talent Development strategies.
- Coach & Mentor employees and leadership on all aspects of Performance Management & People Development
- Support and participate in Diversity and Inclusion and engagement initiatives
- Lead potential identification validation and management
Work Relationships:
- Internal Collaborations: Leaders, TOD, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and FORVIA University teams.
- External Collaborations: External service providers.
Your profile and competencies to succeed:
- This position is Hybrid and requires onsite presence at our office in Auburn Hills, Michigan
- Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this position.
Minimum education level:
- Bachelors in Human Resources or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 15 years in Talent Development and/or HR Business Partner Leadership roles
Professional Experience:
- Experience identifying and developing future talent for organization
- Worked in large, complex, matrixed environment
- Experience leading and creating and talent management processes and programs
- Experience leading in a global environment
Skills and competencies:
- Familiar with HR Information systems (SuccessFactors experience a plus)
- Strong in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
