Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The Asia Treasury Manager is responsible for leading treasury activities across the Asia region, ensuring optimal liquidity, efficient cash management, effective financial risk mitigation, and strong banking relationships. The role partners closely with Regional and Global Finance teams to support business growth, operational excellence, and strategic initiatives while ensuring compliance with FORVIA financial policies and external regulations. As a key treasury business partner for the Interiors Division in Asia, the position also supports commercial growth, industrial footprint optimization, customer programs, and regional transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities 

Treasury & Liquidity Management

  • Lead cash management activities across Asia entities and ensure sufficient liquidity to support business operations.
  • Oversee daily cash positioning, short-term liquidity forecasting, and working capital optimization.
  • Develop and monitor regional cash flow forecasts, providing visibility and recommendations to management.
  • Drive treasury process harmonization and efficiency improvements across Asia.

 Banking & Financing Management

  • Manage relationships with regional and local banking partners.
  • Support negotiation of banking services, credit facilities, guarantees, and financing arrangements.
  • Ensure effective utilization of banking products and treasury solutions.
  • Coordinate bank account administration, signatory management, and treasury controls.

Foreign Exchange & Financial Risk Management

  • Monitor and manage foreign exchange exposures across Asia operations.
  • Implement FX hedging strategies in alignment with Group Treasury policies.
  • Assess and mitigate treasury-related financial risks, including currency, liquidity, and counterparty risks.
  • Support business teams in evaluating the financial impact of commercial and sourcing decisions.

Intercompany Funding & Cash Optimization

  • Manage intercompany loans, funding arrangements, and cash repatriation activities.
  • Support regional cash pooling and treasury structure optimization.
  • Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of financial resources across Asia entities.
  • Coordinate with Group Treasury on funding requirements and capital deployment strategies.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and Group Treasury policies.
  • Maintain strong treasury controls and support internal and external audits.
  • Monitor treasury-related regulatory developments affecting Asia operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of treasury processes, controls, and reporting.

Business Partnership & Strategic Support

  • Partner with Finance Directors, Plant Controllers, and Functional Leaders to support business growth initiatives.
  • Provide treasury expertise for acquisitions, restructuring projects, and strategic investments.
  • Support annual budget, mid-term plan, and cash forecasting processes.
  • Contribute to treasury digitalization and automation initiatives.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree, MBA, CFA, ACT, or Treasury certification is a plus.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, or Cash Management.
  • Proven experience in multinational manufacturing companies; automotive industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing treasury activities across multiple Asian countries.
  • Strong understanding of cash management, liquidity planning, FX hedging, and banking operations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix and international environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SAP, and Treasury Management Systems (TMS).
  • Strong business acumen and continuous improvement mindset.

Language

  • Fluent English required.
  • Mandarin Chinese preferred.
  • Additional Asian language capabilities would be an advantage.
