What's the VIE Forvia Program all about?
The VIE Program of Forvia is an international young graduate program, which enables young graduates native from the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28 to work for one of our subsidiary around the world!

PLEASE NOTE: as part of your international development, you cannot perform a VIE in the country of your citizenship.

What will be your main missions?
Our (Region+Division) is looking for a VIE Purchasing to be based at its plant at (Location+Country).
 
 The VIE Purchasing is responsible for ensuring high supplier performance in terms of quality and cost, including the implementation of corrective actions and monitoring of PPM/MPM metrics. They identify cost-saving opportunities, collaborate with commodity teams, and manage productivity action plans (PAP). The role involves preparing the purchasing budget, participating in supplier selection, and supporting the launch of new programs. The Buyer works closely with production, logistics, and quality to ensure accurate information flow, ordering, and cost control. They also take part in regular team meetings, report results, and contribute to continuous performance and workplace improvement.

  • Screen parts from the plant and assess BLC, cost model, VAVE with the commodity buyer/manager
  • Be involved in the supplier selection and kick off in program phase to prepare the start of Production
  • Maintain plant vendor list updated and in line with Commodity strategy. Propose and contribute to downsizing
  • Monitor all relevant suppliers and parts information and ensure proper ordering, invoicing & cost control
  • Inform Commodity teams in case of major volumes changes monitor End of Life. Validate Plant QCD information sent to the Group
  • Prioritise local resolution of issues but escalade to Division level or Commodity Buyers team when needed

Your profile and competencies to succeed

What you need to join us?

  • English language is mandatory as you will be speaking with people from all over the world.
  • Master’s degree/Engineering diploma in purchasing
  • Minimum 1-2 years purchasing experience. (Automotive preferred / capital preferred)
  • Experienced with SAP, PowerBI, Excel
  • Statistical methods
