Our business is looking for a Digital Manufacturing Engineer Apprentice (M/F) for its R&D Center based in Bavans (30 minutes from Belfort; 15 minutes from Montbéliard; close to the Swiss border).

The Bavans R&D Center, with nearly 700 employees, develops innovative solutions for sustainable and clean mobility. It is FORVIA’s global center of expertise for hydrogen storage systems.

 

What makes this position interesting?

Supporting the development and deployment of Digital Manufacturing solutions by contributing to requirements gathering, functional testing, and the definition of standardized working methodologies to accelerate the digital transformation of industrial processes.

The objective of this apprenticeship is to identify and implement ways to improve manufacturing processes through digital tools, with support from the Digital Factory team within the central IT department (Design & Validation Solution team).

You will work on challenges that matter!

Your responsibilities:

  • Collect and formalize user requirements (methods, production, quality, logistics, etc.); participate in functional workshops with international, cross-functional teams; and write functional specifications.
  • Contribute to the definition of Digital Manufacturing use cases (M-BOM, process planning, work instructions, simulations for robotics, material flows, machining, ergonomics, etc.).
  • test datasets and validation scenarios, carry out functional testing, report issues, follow up on corrections, and participate in final validation before deployment.
  • Contribute to the harmonization of industrial processes through digital tools and support teams in adopting Digital Manufacturing solutions.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Could this be you?

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s to Master’s degree (3 to 5 years of higher education) with a specialization in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrialization, Manufacturing, Digital Transformation, Industrial Digitalization, or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of PLM / MES / Digital Manufacturing platforms (e.g., DELMIA, 3DEXPERIENCE) is a plus.
  • Strong interest in industrial processes (assembly, process planning, etc.).
  • Fluent English (minimum B1, ideally B2).
