Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Location: Brieres-les-Scéllés (91) / Caligny (61)
The Acquisition & Competitiveness Buyer is responsible for managing the purchasing inputs during acquisition and improving competitiveness of BOP/tooling for the division.
- Analyse and provide cost feedback to the Acquisition team on various concepts intended to enhance competitiveness
- Negotiate and establish the appropriate cost structure to support the program objectives
- Contribute to Global Acquisitions, supporting the team with appropriate supplier information and costs and cooperating in deciding on a local vs. global sourcing strategy.
- Identify gap to benchmark and associated levers to achieve best landed price using cost optimization tools.
- Challenge commodity buyers to identify new suppliers if needed to support competitivity (innovative processes / low volumes / new generic products)
- Support costing function to provide best cost assumptions on not well-known technologies and carry over parts price / capacity
- Support product line with supplier offers to prepare future acquisition requirements from generic to applicative.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business.
Nice to have: Professional Purchasing Qualification
Experience :
- Minimum 5 to 8 years experience including an experience in purchasing in an industrial environment
- Experience in an international environment
Nice to have: Experience as Program Buyer
Skills and competencies :
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of supplier cost structures
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Knowledge of dedicated products design, development and launch processes
- Excellent communication skills and results orientation
