Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The Assistant / Deputy Manager for Internal Costing within GCOE is responsible for technical and economical valuation of concepts and engineering changes of automotive interior, esp. instrument panels, door panels and center consoles, including latest technologies and materials:

• The IReC Assistant / Deputy Manager is responsible for settling of all the work packages of the function according to the current version of the program management system (PMS). Among the tasks mentioned in PMS, the Cost Analyst has the following main tasks and responsibilities:

• • Support analysis of RFQs and calculation requests
  • Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings
  • Validation of technical and economical feasability
  • Analysing of  industrial flowchart proposed by Industrial Strategy in consideration of PMS
  • Preparation of industrial flowcharts followed by validation with Industrial Strategy
  • Valuation of production costs for manufacturing based on production volume and assembly following Faurecia Interior Systems principles.
  • Elaboration of costing files for determination of cost and support to Sales department
  • Support the elaboration of pricing files in the relevant OEM template
  • Verification of offers / purchase prices for Bought out Parts (BoP), their valuation of manufacturing and assembly for determination of Target Cost.
  • Integration of asset investment, logistic and tooling costs in the costing file
  • Communication of costing results to interface functions (Controlling, Program Manager, Purchasing, Sales)
  • Valuation of ECR (Engineering Change Requests) and integration in costing files
  • Regular actualisation of costing files
  • Tracking and illustration of costing results development
  • Elaboration of cost comparisons for preparation of Make or Buy decisions
  • Conditioning of costing results for management presentations
  • Respect the delivery and Quality commitments for the output of work packages
  • Foster & develop a strong network with the CBUs across the Globe to improve collaboration and communication

• Others
  • Coordinate and challenge of the assumptions of all relevant and necessary experts and interface functions to define the piece costs
  • Collaborate with Tool Cost Analysts, and Faurecia Reference Cost Analysts
  • Benchmarking of competitor products
  • Product knowlegde for Interior parts like Instrument panel, Door panel & Center console assembly.
  • Valuation of alternative production processes and providing recommendation
  • Maintenance of existing databases
  • Support development of costing basic pinciples and software tools
  • Support program manager and sales department for preparing customer negotiations
  • Support purchasing department for preparing supplier negotiations
  • Regular data collection of process parameters within the plants serial manfacturing

Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Engineering or Diploma, with a specialisation in Automotive Production
• Minimum 6-14 years in an industrial environment including a first technical experience (production, manufacturing engineering,…)
• Technical products oriented
• Demonstrated strong communication, analytical and synthesis skills
• Fluent in 2 languages including english
• German language proficiency preffered
