Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Overall Responsibilities

  • Part of the Global Software Department, the Software Architect manages process, method and tools, global product architectures and support the Software developments.
  • Interact with other stakeholders (Innovation, System, hardware Metiers, Technical Project leaders, Customers, departments of different BG, external suppliers, etc….


Main Missions

  • Contribute, as part of global software department, to the definition of the relevant process and associated tool chain (ALM, dashboarding…) to achieve efficiency in development as well as lean A-spice CL2, to the design review process.
  • Define transversal platform approach and reusable functions in order to achieve competitive development efforts across Product Line portfolio.
  • Define the Software features library of the platform across Business Groups.
  • Define, develop and maintain, in strong collaboration with the System and Hardware owners, the optimized Software architecture (SWE.2) to reach the functionalities, performance, piece price objectives.
  • Define in collaboration with Innovation and Metier, the product roadmap.
  • Participate to Software competitive quotations for RFQ and customer presentations.
  • Support Software project team to apply defined platform and conduct associated design review.
  • Estimate software element resources (size, CPU Load, …)
  • Capitalize experience and lesson learned, through standards and design reviews, in strong collaboration with peers and other Group entities (FCE/Hella).
  • Support in training and coaching the project team. Create a positive and collaborative atmosphere, focus on technical excellence and lesson learned

 

Context

  • We need a software architect to define the process, the platform approach, reusable functions and product architectures to support development team based in France and in India. International context, worldwide customer location. Background in software and automotive required.
  • This position is located in Paris 12ème, with frequent travels in the different sites.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

  • Qualifications: Minimum education level: Electronics Engineering degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Embedded Software development. Auto industry is mandatory.
  • Skills and competencies:
    • Experience in vehicle networking protocols: CAN, LIN.
    • Knowledge of Application protocols:  XCP, UDS, OBD.
    • Written and oral communication skills
    • Agile and flexible skills
    • Team spirit, able to network
    • International mindset
    • Capacity to work in matrix organization
    • English mandatory
