Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Overall responsibilities and duties:

Global Purchasing Support main goals are to boost purchasing organization efficiency and data reliability by simplifying and standardizing processes and improving communication between functions. GPS supports buyers allowing them to focus on their core activities.

The main purpose of the job is to provide a smooth and efficient service on purchasing administrative and back-office affairs.

 

The main missions of the role are:

  • Ensure and follow-up enablement activity with suppliers
  • Follow-up sourcing event activity (contact suppliers and buyers)
  • Supplier feedback analysis and scoring
  • Perform a quality check of the information available
  • Make follow-up with the suppliers to get confirmation that they will participate in the RFQ process.
  • Standard PR compliance check (Supplier data, offer, etc) ensuring that Faurecia procedures are respected and applied.
  • One Time Vendor: compliance check of the documents as well as verify that this is the proper buying channel to be used
  • Guide users to the correct buying channel in Ariba and suppliers
  • Ensure the correct parameterization, input, maintenance, and update of the contracts in Ariba using information received from buyers
  • Ensure correct parameterization of catalogue in Ariba (all types) and application of catalogue views
  • Strategy deployment and tracking based on buyer’s input
  • Ensure supplier receives the PO, analyse route cause, and preform correction in the system
  • Support and training of new suppliers and users
  • Manage Supplier and Customer master data (Bank information, Vat, name, address, etc)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Minimum education level: Degree in business, management or purchasing school related.
  • Experience / Technical and behavioural skills:
  • Have purchasing experience or as purchasing assistant is a plus
  • Good computer skills (MS Office-Excel)
  • Knowledge of SAP MM and/or Ariba is a plus.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in English or French or German or Spanish.
  • Analysis skills
  • Data cruncher
  • Ability to work in an international environment
  • Operational mindset
  • Autonomous and proactive
