Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The VIE HSE Coordinator supports the implementation and coordination of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities across Division and plant levels. The role ensures compliance with Group standards by supporting HSE and ergonomics in projects, driving environmental and safety action plans, and monitoring performance and reporting. It also provides operational support to plants, including chemical management, ergonomic assessments, and environmental audits, while acting as a key link between sites, regional teams, and Division management.

The main missions of the role are:

  • Division:

    • Contribute to HSE network activities (meetings, workshops, etc.) within the S3 Division
    • Prepare and lead weekly Division HSE meetings
    • Follow up on and validate site reporting in the Environmental Reporting Tool (ERT)
    • Facilitate meetings and ensure effective follow-up of action plans in collaboration with support functions
    • Lead and coordinate the Division’s environmental action plan in line with Group policies and regulatory requirements (water, waste, biodiversity, ISO 14001 certification, etc.); validate plant-level environmental reporting and oversee the annual Group environmental reporting for the Division
    • Monitor the fire safety action plan in collaboration with Regional HSE Managers
    • Provide clear, concise, and timely reporting on the progress of key topics (e.g., surveys, action plans)
    • Ensure follow-up and proper management of the Alert Management System (AMS)

     

    Plant:

    • Provide operational HSE support to plants on local projects
    • Ensure HSE and ergonomic compliance of new projects (e.g., new equipment, layouts, fire safety requirements) in line with Business Group internal standards
    • Manage chemical risk assessment and oversee the deployment and administration of the Group-wide chemical management system (Cority)
    • Conduct annual ergonomic assessments of workstations (300+), using Visual and Kimea tools, and support the implementation of improvement actions
    • Support environmental protection initiatives by performing monthly 10GF audits and ensuring effective follow-up and monitoring of associated action plans

Qualifications 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimumeducation level: Master’s degree in engineering or health safety and environment.

Skills and competencies  

  • Ability to understand and speak English
  • Experience in HSE in an automotive industry will be a “plus”
  • Knowledge of legal HSE regulation
  • Knowledge of ergonomics
  • Knowledge in chemicals
  • Good communication skills and customer oriented
  • International mindset
  • Strong rigor and autonomy
  • Good organization skills, project management skills and attention to detail
