We pioneer technology for mobility experience that matter to people. We are seeking an experienced Plant HSE Coordinator to join the team at our Louisville, KY plant in our Clean Mobility Division.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

FORVIA is committed to leading the way in safety and sustainable industrial development. As an HSE Coordinator is to guarantee, according to national legislation, the respect and enforcement of the Group's HSES policy.

The main missions of the role are: 

1. Analyze the site risks and bring solutions to improve the working conditions, the level of industrial safety, and respect to the environment 

2. Propose an annual HSES action plan to the site management 

3. Coach and support the site management and employees 

4. Participate in Faurecia's HSE network 

5. Monitor legal compliance and manage the site's relations with local government and regulatory organizations 

6. Monitor the reporting of HSES indicators (FROT, environmental data, etc.) 

7. Organize and drive HSES audits and trainings 

8. Carry out accident enquiries 

9. Monitor compliance to Business Group Security Policy (premises, building and monolith security) per FS-E-S-LSE-5212 

10. Submit/implement at least two Continuous Improvement ideas per month 

11. Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum education level:

  • Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) with an HSE specialization or industrial experience validating HSE knowledge
  • The ideal candidate will have/be: a firm understanding of national environmental health and safety laws, be willing to stay current on all HSE policies and procedures and possess a general knowledge of automotive production plant technologies 

Professional Experience: 

  • Experience in a plant or an industrial environment

Skills and competencies: 

  • Proficiency in HSE tools and methodologies AMDEC, 5 why methodology, job instruction, audits, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18000, etcetera.
  • Knowledge of national regulations and standards specific to the scope of their activity
  • Mastery of internal audit in HSE management systems is a plus
  • Fluent in English

Physical Requirements:

  • Exposed to heat in the summer and cold in the winter
  • Job involves lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accoodation.
  • Steel toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and safety anti-cut sleeves required in production area due to physical hazards from moving equipment, manchine parts, product.
