Your mission, roles and responsibilities
What will be your main missions?
Our Digital Transformation Operations team is looking for a VIE MES Product Engineer based in Espargo, Portugal, for a 12-month period, renewable.
Our mission is to guide and support the digital transformation of manufacturing operations across the entire organisation by deploying a next-generation MES platform based on ISA-95 standards.
You will contribute to the development of MES X.0, Forvia’s group-wide MES platform, built on ISA-95 standards. You will work within an agile core squad, liaising directly with the pilot plants and the group’s IT teams.
- Contribute to the modelling of manufacturing data in accordance with ISA-95 standards
- Participate in the design and development of production control workflows
- Contribute to the development of industrial applications for pilot plants
- Collaborate with the Group’s IT teams on the Azure cloud architecture underpinning the platform
- Gather functional requirements from factory users and translate them into technical specifications
- Take part in platform testing and validation activities
- Develop and maintain the data transformations (batch and streaming) required for MES use cases
- Communicate with, train and liaise with the network of pilot plants
Your profile and competencies to succeed
What you need to join us?

Master’s degree with a strong interest in software development and the manufacturing industry:
- Experience with TypeScript and web application development
- Knowledge of ISA-95 standards would be an advantage
- Experience of or interest in MES systems, BPMN or industrial data platforms
