Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The Program Management VIE supports the Program Management Team in planning, executing, and monitoring customer programs from acquisition through industrialization and serial production. Working closely with experienced Program Managers and cross-functional teams, the role contributes to the achievement of quality, cost, timing, profitability, and customer-satisfaction targets. It provides a structured development path toward Deputy Program Manager and Program Manager positions, with increasing responsibility based on demonstrated capability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination
- Support Program Managers in day-to-day program execution.
- Coordinate actions across Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Sales, and Logistics.
- Maintain the program action list and ensure timely follow-up of open issues.
- Prepare inputs and materials for Program Review Committees, gate reviews, customer meetings, and internal reviews.
Planning and Reporting
- Maintain program schedules, customer milestones, and internal deliverable tracking.
- Monitor progress, identify delays, and support timely escalation.
- Prepare accurate status reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Track relevant program KPIs and highlight deviations from target.
Risk and Opportunity Management
- Support the identification, assessment, and tracking of program risks and opportunities.
- Maintain risk registers, mitigation plans, and related action lists.
- Follow up mitigation actions with responsible functions and escalate overdue or critical items.
Customer and Change Support
- Participate in customer meetings and program reviews.
- Track customer requirements, decisions, and open actions.
- Support the assessment and implementation of engineering changes and customer requests.
- Help ensure clear and timely communication between the customer and internal teams.
Financial Support
- Assist with monitoring program budgets, development costs, tooling, investments, and launch costs.
- Support forecasting and periodic business-plan updates.
- Help analyze deviations from financial targets and track corrective actions.
Launch Preparation
- Support industrialization and launch activities leading to a successful Start of Production (SOP).
- Coordinate launch-readiness reviews and track open issues to closure.
- Monitor completion of customer and internal deliverables, including quality and production-readiness requirements.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or an equivalent discipline.
Experience
- 0–3 years of professional experience.
- Initial exposure to automotive engineering, project or program management, manufacturing, or industrial operations is advantageous.
- Internship, graduate-trainee, or project-coordination experience is preferred.
Technical and Business Skills
- Basic knowledge of project or program management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic data analysis, dashboarding, and reporting capability.
- Understanding of the automotive program lifecycle from acquisition through SOP.
- Awareness of quality planning and launch processes, such as APQP and PPAP, is an advantage.

Languages
- Fluent English.
- German preferred and required for German Customer
- Additional languages are an advantage.
