Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Perform physical and chemical tests on incoming materials and components to verify compliance with Customer specifications. Document and report any deviations detected to prevent nonconforming material from entering production. Support the calibration and verification activities of the plant’s measuring equipment, ensuring proper functionality and traceability. Additionally, assist in the validation processes for finished products, following established laboratory procedures and quality standards.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and/or related fields.
Language:
Intermediate-Advanced English
Experience:
2 years in the automotive sector or industrial field.
Quality processes, product and process knowledge (desirable).
Required Knowledge:
- Performs testing, verifies specifications, and ensures product conformity (VDA 6.5).
- Knowledge of precision and reliability assurance in laboratory measurements (MSA).
- Knowledge of FMEA to prevent defects through laboratory testing.
- Control Plan.
Responsabilities:
- Perform physical, mechanical, and chemical tests applicable to materials and components, following established procedures.
- Prepare and complete the required documentation in accordance with the current QMS procedures.
- Prepare reports and record detected failure notices, informing Receiving and Production in a timely manner.
- Participate in product audits according to internal standards.
- Execute FOAM release activities (hardness and dimensional evaluations) in accordance with quality criteria.
- Prepare the timeline or schedule for assigned testing activities.
- Participate in LPA audits according to the defined schedule.
- Perform flammability tests on materials according to applicable specifications.
- Monitor the calibration status of laboratory equipment and support coordination of required calibrations.
- Contribute to process improvement by proposing ideas within the work area.
- Conduct HUETEST evaluations for personnel who require it, following established procedures.
- Request and manage accreditation for external calibrations, based on laboratory needs.
- Perform water and amine percentage tests for chemical materials according to established methodology.
- Carry out color testing on materials in accordance with defined acceptance criteria.
