Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The main mission of the warranty engineer is to analyse warranty failures on electronic automotive products and engage correctives actions to solve issues & prevent reoccurrences.

Warranty engineer has the responsibility for providing technical support for warranty problems by utilizing robust product analysis processes, standards, engineering equipment and technical expertise on test bench & in vehicle at customer

Managing customer data from score cards & warranty to identify investigations needed (internally & at customer) to deploy improvements

Missions :  

• Follow customer score cards, investigate warranty data & define investigations needed (products & symptom)
• Conduct validation tests on bench and in vehicle to reproduce defect (eg: SW bug)
• Use engineering tools to collect information about failure in the product
• Perform product analysis to identify cause of the failure (HW & SW)
• Work with plant and/or engineering and provide necessary information to identify some corrective actions
• Provide analysis reports for summarizing all analysis steps with results
• Lead problem solving (8D) in cooperation with customer relationship engineer
• Represent Quality in front of customers and management
• Share & learn technical experience with quality laboratory

Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering - Electronics / Mechatronics Diploma

Experience:

• Electronic development, schematic understanding, failure analysis
• Technical skills on product and process in an industrial environment
• Problem solving tools like, 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, Pareto, 5W2H, roots cause analysis… in an advantage

Skills and competencies

• Good Electronic knowledge
• Fluent English in written & spoken is a must, Flexibility for business travel
• Standard PC software knowledge (MS Office, etc.) and comfortable with digital tools, Linux knowledge is an added advantage
• Good Communication and presentation skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Efficient Planning and organization skills
• Ability to work autonomously & in a matrix organization, Team player
