Your mission, roles and responsibilities

We are looking for a trainee to support the deployment of circular economy practices within the engineering community 

We are seeking a motivated trainee to join our team and support the deployment of circular economy best practices. In particular, the primary responsibility will be to work on the concept of product reparability supporting the development of a methodology and a tool for assessing a product's reparability potential. This position will also support the preparation of training materials for the engineering community. 

Main missions associated to this position:  

  • Analyze existing repairability methodologies and tools from other industries, review relevant regulations and incentives, assess the feasibility of implementing ratings and standards in the automotive sector, and evaluate how leading automotive players address repairability.
  • Link with our customer intelligence teams to identify the value of repairability for our products (end user, OEM, fleets,...)
  • Develop a methodology and a tool to assess product reparability:
  • Use current standards and methods from other sectors, adapting them to FORVIA specific needs.
  • Validate the tool through pilot assessments on FORVIA products:
  • Check result consistency 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to assess usability 
  • Create application examples for tool deployment
  • Develop training materials for methodology and tool rollout 

Your profile and competencies to succeed

What if it were you? 

  • Engineering degree with a strong personal interest in eco-design and the automotive sector
  • Specific technical skills: product design, eco-design
  • Specific non-technical skills: project management/organization processes/change management,
  • Good communicator, rigorous, critical thinking, synthesis
  • French and English are mandatory
