The role partners closely with plant operations, industrial engineering, continuous improvement, and digital teams to strengthen standards, accelerate deployment of best practices, and support performance transformation across manufacturing sites.

The main responsibilities and challenges of the role are to:

  • Define and continuously improve the manufacturing system framework, standards, and associated digital enablers.
  • Design training materials, workshops, and capability-building programs related to lean manufacturing, industrial performance, and standard ways of working.
  • Work cross-functionally with business units and site leadership to align process evolution, governance, and performance expectations.
  • Establish, deploy, and monitor standard operating practices in benchmark or pilot plants to validate scalable solutions.
  • Facilitate improvement workshops to optimize digital solutions, strengthen adoption on the shop floor, and increase operational impact.
  • Build and manage a clear development roadmap with digital and operational stakeholders, from requirements definition through validation and deployment.
  • Lead internal communities of practice and events to capture, formalize, and share manufacturing best practices across sites.
  • Communicate manufacturing system updates and digital transformation priorities to ensure alignment, engagement, and change adoption.
  • Support the successful rollout of manufacturing system standards and digital practices in close partnership with plant, divisional, and functional teams.
  • Update standards, playbooks, and implementation guidelines based on lessons learned from pilot plants and site deployments.
  • Drive the evolution of core manufacturing procedures, assessment frameworks, and reference documentation to reflect operational excellence and digitalization priorities.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.

Experience :

  • At least 10 years of experience in international manufacturing environments, including hands-on shop floor leadership as a Production Manager or equivalent, with a strong record of performance improvement.
  • Proven experience in lean manufacturing, industrial performance, continuous improvement, or operational excellence roles within a plant or multi-site organization, with solid exposure to digital operations environments and, ideally, industrial digital project management.
  • Nice to have: experience in a regional, divisional, or corporate industrial performance role.

Skills and competencies :

  • Strong commitment to lean principles and a practical mindset for digital transformation in manufacturing.
  • Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing systems, continuous improvement methods, and industrial performance management, as well as a strong understanding of digital tools and systems used in operations; experience with industrial digital project management is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills across functions, cultures, and organizational levels.
  • Ability to prioritize strategic and operational topics in a fast-moving, multi-site environment.
  • Strong results orientation with a focus on customer value, operational performance, and sustainable improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and lead cross-functional transformation without direct authority.
  • Fluent English, with the ability to communicate clearly in an international business environment.
  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities, with demonstrated ability to engage teams, build networks, and drive change at scale.
