The AI/GenAI Expertise Manager plays a central role in driving the company’s AI ambition by bridging the gap between complex artificial intelligence technologies and practical business applications. Reporting to the Digital Innovation & Transformation Director, this role ensures that AI solutions are assessed and selected in a scalable, efficient, and compliant manner, while supporting all Functions and Business Groups in understanding AI capabilities for business performance.

The AI & GenAI Expertise Manager fosters a strong internal and external network of digital and AI experts, promotes innovation and experimentation, and contributes to strategic transformation projects. The position requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders across business and technology teams. #JTS

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Digital Expertise:

Contribute to the growth of the Digital Experts Network, including AI-focused task forces.

Conduct benchmarking and technology watch on AI/GenAI trends, tools, frameworks, and best practices to support the digital roadmap.

 Drive AI awareness through internal events, training, communication packs, AI Presso newsletters, and thought leadership.

Represent the company at external AI and tech events and provide technical recommendations to business teams.

M0 Gates and Tech Council Preparation:

In collaboration with the Digital Governance Manager and relevant GIT teams, support M0 Gate preparation for AI/Data projects by ensuring clear business needs, technical feasibility, and expected value.

Contribute to Tech Council preparation, align initiatives with strategic and technology guidelines, ensure roadmap consistency, and maintain strong evaluation criteria.

Technical Consultancy for High-Stakes Projects:

Provide expert guidance for high-impact AI initiatives, lead technical scoping of major AI projects, support make-or-buy decisions, and ensure compliance with architecture principles, technical standards, security requirements, and regulations.

Team Performance and Continuous Improvement:

Contribute to team performance and continuous improvement, share best practices and lessons learned, improve processes and methodologies, support transformation and training initiatives, and promote innovation, experimentation, and responsible AI.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Technical Expertise

  • Strong proficiency in machine learning frameworks.
  • Advanced skills in Python and relevant AI/GenAI development libraries.
  • Solid understanding of data engineering, MLOps, cloud platforms, and AI architecture principles.
  • Ability to assess AI solutions for scalability, reliability, and compliance.

Project Management

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex digital or AI projects from ideation to delivery.
  • Ability to coordinate with business leaders, product owners, architects, and technical experts.

Communication & Influence

  • Ability to articulate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and impactful way.
  • Strong presentation capabilities for senior leadership, governance bodies, and technical committees.
  • Business-oriented mindset, able to link AI technologies with concrete business value.

Analytical Thinking

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to break down complex issues and develop innovative, pragmatic solutions.
  • Ability to evaluate risks, constraints, and opportunities across a wide range of AI use cases.
