Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Overall responsibilities and duties:
As SMT Engineer, you will manage and optimize SMT production processes to ensure stable, high‑quality PCB assembly. This includes overseeing machine setup and programming, validating new products and equipment, leading process improvements, resolving line issues, and ensuring efficient production flow that meets quality, cost, and delivery targets. Collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams to support new product introduction, continuous improvement, and manufacturing reliability.
The main missions of the role are:

Develop, review, and update key production documents including Work Instructions, PFMEA, Process Flow, and startup check sheets for both new and existing models.

Lead new model trials, validate new jigs/equipment and processes, and issue summary and qualification reports prior to mass production.

Plan, validate, and improve production line layouts, including line installation, qualification, and readiness for manufacturing.

Provide operator training aligned with standard documents and ensure proper knowledge transfer for new or updated processes.

Analyze and resolve production line issues, conduct capacity calculations, and prepare reports to support current and future customer demand.

Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen, cycle time analysis, line balancing, manpower planning, and Poka‑Yoke implementation.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D for software updates, support customer audits, and assist Sales in evaluating process compatibility for new products.

Execute trials for new processes and sample builds, ensuring product feasibility, quality, and alignment with engineering change management.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Minimum education level
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in production or mechanical engineering
Professional Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the auto industry
- Have knowledge in SMT process ,Wave process ,Stencil design and tooling design
- Have experience in SMT yield improvement
- Have experience in rework process
Skills and competencies
- Technically skilled on product and process design, such as FMEA, TAKT time, and ergonomics
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- International mindset, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment
- English required, other languages are a plus
