Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The IDP Purchasing Graduate is responsible for supporting the plants needs and services for all four plants through Guided Buying & Forvia Spend Management.

As a Indirect Purchasing Graduate, your main responsibilities are as follow: 

  •  Assist in monitoring of ARIBA and ensuring ICB compliance
  • Assist in ensuring KPI’S are met with primary focus on achieving best pricing and cost savings managed through PAP/GPS
  • Responsible for managing SLP (MDM) by creating & extending vendors
  • Support with MFC workshops across all 4 plants
  • Month end reporting – PO after invoice
  • Launching of RFQ’S
  • NRFT
  • Managing fixed assets (ZFCA po Type) (Fleet – Forklifts, cars, printers, real estate)
  • Managing price variance & payment queries
  • Analysing & Submitting contracts (SLA) via DocuSign
  • Supporting with contract addendums and extensions

Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Education: National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a Business-related qualification.
  • Knowledge and experience:
    • Limited experience required
    • Knowledge of productivity / lean management methodology
    • Knowledge of purchasing, production, quality and logistics 
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of indirect purchasing 
    • Computer literacy
    • Ability to manage within a matrix organisation and global teams
  • Languages: Ability to speak, write and read the English language
  • Drivers licence advantageous
