Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Job Title:              Toolmaker Graduate (YES Programme)
Location:              Pretoria (Rosslyn)
Reporting to:       UAP1 Manager
Contract:              Fixed - Term (12 months)
Closing Date:       13 March 2026

 

  • Perform incoming mould inspections in a timely manner.
  • Maintain moulds according to preventative maintenance inspections levels.
  • Perform mould repairs and modifications to damaged tools as required.
  • Troubleshoot and correct mould problems within the limits of established company practices.
  • Develop and document instructions for safe and efficient mould tear down, assembly and cleaning.
  • Maintain proper supply of the inventory of spare parts and consumables.
  • Install pipes, fittings and hydraulic lines on mould as needed and check electrical connections.
  • Keep documentation related to tooling maintenance updated and ensure good shift handovers.
  • Try out tooling after changeover, inspection or repair.
  • Participate in Production System Efficiency and Quality System Efficiency workshops to support continuous improvement: propose and implement continuous productivity, process and quality improvement actions.
  • Ability to properly move and place moulds and components using appropriate equipment and following proper lifting and handling techniques. Maintain tools and related equipment.

  • Languages: ability to speak, read and write English language
