Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The role of an automation engineer is to participate in the (TPM) for all equipment and facilities, focusing on the automation domain and PLC software applied to the equipment.

Electrical control line of the equipment
PLC program line of the equipment.
Pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical system lines of the equipment
Identify and develop technical control parameters.
Identify and develop hardware and software improvements aimed at making operations more efficient.
Contribute to project launches to define the technical specifications for modifications in the manufacturing and installation of equipment, as well as follow-up for continuous improvement.
Identify and develop standards for equipment care and repair.
Use and enforce the use of work uniform according to established regulations.
Provide support to the production line for difficult or unfamiliar maintenance cases.
Respect and enforce the code of ethics and Forvia's administration code.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, and/or technical career or in-house development.

Advanced English 

Experience in:

Automotive Industry

Manufacturing/Production Cutting and sewing processes (Desirable)

Required technical skills: Management of APQP (desirable), Suppliers, AutoCAD, interpretation of drawings (automotive type), product specifications, Time and Motion studies, Machines and tools.

Management of PLCs, vision sensors, frequency drives, design and calculation of electrical panels, communication protocols, analysis and logical thinking for troubleshooting.
