Our Faurecia Automotive Seating – North America Seating Division is looking for you as a Industrial Manager m/f for our site in Puebla.
Your role and responsibilities? The Industrial Manager is responsible for leading the industrial efficiency in all aspects, from footprint decisions to process, layout, flow definition and capacity analysis by plant.
All decisions should be driven by cost optimization to maximize the profitability of the business considering customer and supplier footprints.
Essential responsibilities & duties
The main missions of the role are to:
• To manage Metal Division Investment (CAPEX) for all the Metal Plants
• To develop strong relationships with the operation teams of all plants
• To analyze and manage plant capacities for main generic equipment (stamping, laser welding, MAG welding, Spot welding, TEF, expanding, assembly)
• To ensure new capacity equipment launched are following the last updated generic standards
• To support on defining yearly metal CAPEX budget and track the spendings on a monthly basis
• To boost VA/VE through cross-functional workshops and by transversalizing best practices from other regions doing benchmark
• To propose Make or Buy studies to identify processes / components which make sense to manufacture internally and other way as well
• To make business cases to identify which mechanisms make sense to propose for localization (recliners, tracks, pumps….)
• To develop strong relationships with S3 Europe teams for support on operation efficiency improvements as well as to anticipate any global support needed
• To analyze layouts and flows and propose improvements using cross-functional workshops and activating experts from Europe when needed
• To manage plant loading update on a semester basis through the strategic plan period to ensure right balancing between plants is ensured
• To manage a monthly activity reporting at top management level for governance and to escalate any topic if needed
• To support any industrial related crisis when requested Qualifications The ideal candidate will have/be:
• Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• 10 years’ experience in different manufacturing, operation, project management positions.
• Automotive seating preferred and in metal.
• Customer relations with supply base, Tier 1 and OEMs at senior levels Skills & Competencies:
• Must be willing to travel frequently within Mexico and United States
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project)
• Strong knowledge in Project Management • Strategic thinking and high technical capacities
• Strongly cost oriented and focused on delivering objectives assigned
